• In 2011, I won the Ilkley Literature Festival creative writing competition for young adults, with my piece, 'The Disappointing Lime'. You can read this piece here.

• I was highly commended twice for my writing in the Ilkley Literature Festival.

• In 2018, I was awarded Best Essay in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies at the University of Nottingham for my essay discussing music and performance in the Russian vilm 'Tsirk' (1936).

• In 2019, I was awarded the prize for Best Dissertation in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies at the University of Nottingham for my dissertation entitled 'Depictions of Gypsies in Russian Culture', for which I received a high first class mark of 80.
